Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The overall situation in rail transport remains tense for all traffic to and from the northern German ports.
The derailment of a train on the evening of March 4th in Hamburg-Waltershof and the damage to 6 tracks unfortunately had negative impacts on subsequent train rotations.
Due to a crane failure yesterday in Bremerhaven at the new KLV facility of Eurogate, a backlog developed at the terminal, which also delayed loadings. Currently, all parties involved are working intensively to get the slot times back on track.
Approach control system to Bremerhaven and Hamburg remain active, also due to recent events, which means that trains continue to be refused.
Continued delays are to be expected, short-notice train changes or cancellations cannot be ruled out.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
