Restriction of rail traffic

We want to inform you about the current situation and effects.

Important updates

The overall situation in rail traffic remains very strained.
Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) approach control is active.
Hamburg, CTA Terminal, handling backlog of approx. 13 hours, for Saturday, 07.02.2026 an additional night shift is planned to reduce the backlog.
Occupied shunting tracks are causing delays in newly created slots at Terminals CTA and Burchardkai.
Track closures in the DB InfraGO rail network are leading to diversions and high infrastructure utilization.
Seaport terminals continue to operate at capacity limits. additional terminal slots or special slots are currently unavailable.
As a result, further delays are to be expected, short-notice train changes or cancellations are possible.

Delivery times or fixed dates cannot be guaranteed; these require unhindered transport by rail or road traffic.
